Abstract:
[Abstract] Objective To investigate the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects of alprostadil assisted endovascular interventional treatment for diabetic foot. Methods One hundred patients with diabetic feet were selected from our hospital during April 2013 and June 2015, and they were randomly divided into the observation group(n=50) and the control group(n=50). The control group was treated with conventional treatment, and the observation group was treated with alprostadil adjuvant with endovascular interventional treament. The improvements of the clinical symptoms, serum inflammatory cytokines and vascular function were compared between the two groups before and after the treatment. Results After the treatment, the high-sensitivity C-reactive protein, tumor necrosis factor and interleukin-6 were decreased in both of the two groups which were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). The improvement of pain relief, numbness and claudication distance extended and the improvement of sensation in the observation group were better than those in the control group(P<0.05). The intima-media thickness, systolic peak velocity and vascular(DI-DO)/DO were decreased in both of the two groups, with singnificantly lower ones in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Alprostadil adjuvant with endovascular intervention can significantly improve the inflammatory response and the vascular function in lower limbs of the patients with diabetic feet.
