Abstract:
[Abstract] Objective To investigate the expressions of P16, P53 and Beclin-1 in cervical squamous cell carcinoma(CSCC) and normal human cervical tissues and their ralationships with clinicopathologica parameters. Methods The expressions of P16, P53 and Beclin-1 protein were detected by immunohistochemical(SP method) in 40 cases of normal human cervical tissues and 43 of CSCC.Results The expression rates of P16 and P53 in the CSCC were higher than those in the normal cervical tissues(100.0% vs 5.0% and 86.0% vs 5.0%)(P<0.05), and the expression intensity was positively correlated with the level of cervical squamous cell carcinoma. The expression of Beclin-1 in the CSCC(55.8%) was lower than that in the normal cervical tissues(85.0%)(P<0.01), and the expression intensity was negatively correlated with cervical squamous cell carcinoma. Conclusion The expression levels of P16, P53 and Beclin-1 protein are closely related to the development of CSCC. The expressions of P16 and P53 protein are increased with the progression of cervical epithelial malignant, and the expression of Beclin-1 is down-regulated in malignant cervical lesions.
