Abstract:
[Abstract] Objective To investigate the improving effect of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on motor function in the patients with stroke. Methods One hundred patients with stroke who were treated in the rehabilitation department of our hospital from June 2013 to July 2015 were collected, and were randomly divided into the rTMS group and the control group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with rehabilitation therapy such as routine medicine, acupuncture and exercise. The rTMS group was treated with rTMS on the basis of the rehabilitation therapy in the control group. The changes of the motor function(Fugl-Meyer) scores, neurological deficit(NIHSS) scores and the daily living ability(FIM) scores were compared between the two groups before and after the treatment. Results After the treatment, the Fugl-Meyer and FIM scores were significantly more than those before the treatment in the two groups, the NIHSS scores were significantly less than those before the treatment(P<0.05). After the treatment, the Fugl Meyer and FIM scores in the rTMS group were significantly more than those in the control group, the NIHSS scores were significantly less than those in the control group(P<0.05). There were no obvious adverse reactions during the treatment period in the two groups. Conclusion rTMS is an effective, non-invasive and safe treatment method for impoving the limb motor function in the patients with stroke.
