［Abstract］　 High-flow nasal oxygen（HFNO） is a new type of oxygen therapy and has been applying in clinic widely. Recent studies finds that HFNO has many advantages over traditional oxygen therapy, and has similar effects with non-invasive ventilation in some patients with respiratory failure, which offers a new idea and choice for respiratory support in the patients with respiratory failure. However, the specific clinical indications of HFNO are still unclear, therefore, the rational use and standardized management of HFNO should be emphasized at present, and the application scopes still need to be further explored clinically. In this paper, the research progress of HFNO is reviewed.

［Abstract］　Pulmonary thromboembolism(PTE) is characterized by high incidence, high mortality and high disability rates. It is a major medical problem that seriously threatens human health. In recent years, related researches in the field of PTE have developed rapidly, and the existing guidelines are unable to fully meet the clinical needs of Chinese clinicians, based on which the guideline for the diagnosis and treatment and prevention of pulmonary thromboembolism is developed by Pulmonary Embolism and Pulmonary Vascular Diseases Group of Chinese Thoracic Society and Pulmonary Embolism and Pulmonary Vascular Disease Working Committee of Chinese Association of Chest Physicians to better guide the clinical practice of Chinese physicians. In this paper, we provide a detailed interpretation of the guideline for the diagnosis and treatment and prevention of pulmonary thromboembolism(the 2018 new edition).

It is a distinct clinical entity associated with the histologic and high-resolution CT(HRCT) appearance of usual interstitial pneumonia(UIP). The Fleischner Society provides an updated approach to the HRCT diagnosis of IPF. The possible UIP pattern, according to the 2011 ATS/ERS/JRS/ALAT guidelines, has been upgraded to a probable UIP pattern, which will contribute to providing clinicans with a more simple and straightforward clinical diagnosis of IPF.

Researchers have found that eosinophils are elevated in blood, airway and lung tissues in both stable and acute exacerbated COPD patients. Recent studies have showed that eosinophils are associated with the risk of acute exacerbation, mortality and lung function decline, and that eosinophils can predict the therapeutic response to glucocorticoids in patients with COPD. This review focuses on the research progress of eosinophils as a biomarker in COPD.

［Abstract］　Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) is a common chronic respiratory disease. Dyspnea, which is the most characteristic symptom of COPD patients, decreases the patients′ quality of life. Hospitalization for acute-on-chronic respiratory failure of COPD usually makes the patients′ pulmonary function and quality of life worse. Long term home non-invasive ventilation(NIV) has become one of the rehabilitations for hypercapnic COPD patients. Bilevel positive airway pressure(BiPAP) mode is the best choice of NIV. High inspiratory pressure and appropriate NIV time daily improve the pulmonary function and parameters of blood gas analysis, lower the times of rehospitalization and better the quality of life for hypercapnic COPD patients. The treatment of home non-invasive ventilation in stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is reviewed in this paper.
