<description xmlns:cf="http://www.microsoft.com/schemas/rss/core/2005" cf:type="html"><![CDATA[<b>［Abstract］</b>　Nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC) is a common head and neck malignant tumor in southern parts of China, and the incidence is high in Guangxi. The focus of NPC prevention and treatment lies in early diagnosis and early treatment. Since 2010, remarkable progress has been made in the prevention and control of NPC in Guangxi. The main strategies for prevention and control of NPC in Guangxi are to further strengthen the basic research on the development of NPC, improve the registration and statistics of epidemiology, increase the early diagnosis rate in high-incidence areas and high-risk populations, explore the application of individualized tumor treatment, and improve the survival time and quality of life of the patients. The future prevention and control of NPC in Guangxi still has a long way to go.]]></description>

<title xmlns:cf="http://www.microsoft.com/schemas/rss/core/2005" cf:type="text"><![CDATA[Guangxi′s experience in fighting 2019 corona virus disease]]></title>

<description xmlns:cf="http://www.microsoft.com/schemas/rss/core/2005" cf:type="html"><![CDATA[<b>［Abstract］</b>　At the end of 2019, an unknown pathogenic pneumonia emerged in Wuhan, China. In early January 2020, this pneumonia was identified to be caused by a new type of coronavirus that had never been discovered around the world and the disease was defined as 2019 corona virus disease(COVID-19) by World Health Organization(WHO), and was rapidly spreading across China in a short time. The first case of COVID-19 was confirmed in Guangxi who was a traveller from Wuhan and found to have fever of unknown cause on 19 January 2020. On 24 January 2020, Guangxi launched a level Ⅰ response to public health emergencies and entered a comprehensive anti-epidemic state. Medical institutions at all levels in Guangxi actively responded to the call of the Communist Party and the People′s Government and actively participated in the fight against the epidemic. They had set up 8 medical teams of 960 medical and health members to support the fight against the epidemic in Hubei Province. In the fight against COVID-19, medical institutions in Guangxi, guided by the construction of the Communist Party, worked as a team, made scientific arrangements, and  implemented scientific prevention and control. They had experienced a piecewise management mode, from designated treatment and expert guidance, to gathering experts, pooling resources, centralizing the patients and treatments. Guangxi Xiaotangshan Hospital was urgently built in the Yongwu Hospital of the People′s Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, a provincial medical institution. The technical advantages of the provincial medical institution had been brought into full play to take comprehensive treatment measures, including daily consultation of experts, conbined treatment of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine, psychotherapy, rehabilitative treatment and other comprehensive treatment measures. None of the 83 COVID-19 patients who were admitted to the hospital, including nine critically ill cases, died from COVID-19. Until March 17, 254 COVID-19 inpatients in Guangxi discharged from the hospitals, except for 2 deaths.]]></description>
