Abstract:
[Abstract] Driven by rapid advancements in precision medicine and targeted therapies, the treatment paradigm for ovarian cancer(OC) is undergoing a profound transformation from “empirical surgery” to “comprehensive chronic disease management”. Based on the updated clinical evidence and guidelines, this paper systematically outlines the pathway for whole-life-cycle management of OC, and explores standardized diagnosis, treatment, and prevention strategies tailored to the Chinese healthcare context. Whole-life-cycle management emphasizes patient-centered care, covering a continuum of care spanning genetic risk assessment, precision initial treatment, targeted maintenance therapy, relapse management, rehabilitation, and palliative care. Multidisciplinary team(MDT) collaboration and a tiered diagnosis and treatment system serve as the core pillars to achieve this goal. By establishing a stratified screening system, standardizing MDT collaboration and improving the rehabilitation support network, it is expected to truly transform OC into a preventable, controllable, and treatable “chronic disease”, thereby maximizing survival benefits for the patients.
