Abstract:
[Abstract] Cardiac autonomic neuropathy(CAN) in diabetes is a common complication of type 2 diabetes mellitus, which seriously affects the quality of life and life span of the patients. Exercise training, as an economical and effective intervention method, has significant effects on preventing and delaying the progression of CAN, as well as improving cardiac autonomic nervous function(CAF). Exercise training can improve CAF by improving heart rate variability, activating baroreceptor reflex, and strengthening heart rate recovery after exercise. In this paper, the research progress in effects of exercise training on CAF in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients is reviewed.
