Abstract:
[Abstract] Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) is a common chronic airway disease with high prevalence and heavy disease burden. With the application of metagenome detection technology, it has been found that the lungs contain low-biomass microbiota, and gut microbiota and lung microbiota have a potential connection through the “gut-lung axis”, and jointly participate in the development of COPD. Compared with healthy individuals, COPD patients have abnormal composition and function of lung microbiota and gut microbiota. Based on COPD and gut-lung microbiota interactions, the prevention and treatment of COPD by intervening the gut-lung microbiota have become a new therapeutic direction. In this paper, the distribution characteristics of gut-lung microbiota in COPD patients and the research progress of the mechanism of COPD and gut-lung microbiota interactions are summarized, providing new ideas for clinical diagnosis, treatment and research of COPD.
